May 4th in Greg Kihn Band History – We Played Our Second Road Gig

On this date in Greg Kihn Band history- in 1982 we played in Winnipeg. Manitoba, Canada with Journey. It was part of an extended Canadian tour with Journey. There was still snow on the ground.

Also on this date in GKB history- In 1976 we played our second road gig ever in Willimantic, Conn. at a place called the Shaboo Inn. We were opening for Brian Auger & The Trinity. We were so young and nervous- away from home for the first time. We had to sleep upstairs in bunkbeds and it was sub-zero with no heat. The toilet was disgusting- I remember it after all these years.

Greg Kihn Band – Debut album, Greg Kihn Again and Next Of Kihn Now available from Apple iTunes.
