This upcoming gig at the Firehouse Art Center in Pleasanton March 22 & 23 is the first gig of the year for the Greg Kihn Band and I am really looking forward to it. I guarantee a completely new show with some cool new elements. The band will be rehearsing for the next couple of weekends and I am adding several classic GKB tunes to the set list. I will make the final decisions after we rehearse but as of right now I am adding 5 or 6 songs to the set list. We will be rehearsing some of my favorite GKB tunes that we haven’t played in years. Here is a partial list of songs we will be rehearsing: For You, Valerie, Sheila, Someday, Museum, Fascination, Womankind, Tear That City Down, Rendezvous, Hole In The Head, as well as some of the solo acoustic material I’ve recorded like Blood Red Roses/Mutiny. I will be visiting the venue this week to look at their sound and lights and video screen facilities. If possible I want this gig to be a multi-media event. I’m even thinking of doing a dramatic reading from my soon to be released Beatles novel RUBBER SOUL, and having a question and answer session with the audience. All of this is in the planning stage right now, but the truth is, I want this next gig to be special, different, and memorable. So, if you’re a long time fan and you’ve seen the GKB before, get ready for a whole new presentation. This is going to be fun.

Madison Avenue Man.
Greg Kihn remains the very first artist to speak to my broken spirit at 13 years old. I honor his courage to speak and sing of intense passion, devastating despair, and hope of redemption at the end. I applaud his return to the stage and pray. , somehow, someway, I can attend. It would be a dream come true!
Great list Greg. Now bring that set list and your rear end to Greensboro NC!!
One song I did not see mentioned when you were soliciting ideas from your fans. Love and Rock and Roll. Great song, saw you open with it once and then went into Another Girl Another Planet. Was a great opener!
See you there !
Sounding like a fun night with the GKB…..see you there!
